Leading the way in 1957, Theta Chi was the first fraternity to build on the University of Florida’s fraternity row. While the chapter house had undergone multiple renovation projects since being built, in 2009 it was decided that no more patch work could take place and for a variety of safety and space reasons, a new chapter house was necessary. The Tau Chapter Realty Board engaged the architectural services of Cunningham + Associates to design a modernized chapter house to meet the needs of today's’ college students and be a place where alumni could be proud to return.
After a successful capital campaign, construction commenced in 2012. The new chapter house was open in time for fall Rush with these features:
