The Alpha Chi Chapter of Phi Kappa Tau House Corporation has developed a solid plan to address the long-term viability of the Alpha Chi experience on the Mississippi State campus. Through careful study, assessment, and planning, it has been determined that a new house must be built to ensure a successful return for Alpha Chi. Working with alumnus Lantz Kuykendall ’75 of McCarty Architects, the board of governors and house corporation have developed a tactical approach to our future. Because of a successful alumni fundraising campaign, the new chapter house included the following amenities:
-
15,800-square-foot three-story house
-
14 bedrooms
-
Four private rooms with two bathrooms, 10 semi-private rooms each with a bathroom
-
Dining room with space to seat brothers for meals
-
Full-sized kitchen for food preparation
-
Dedicated study areas
-
Multipurpose lounges
-
Large front porch on first level and balcony on second level
-
Large back patio
-
Large chapter room for meetings and events
