Pi Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta has always been at the heart of Greek life at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Sorority house life offers women the opportunity to be an integral part of the Greek system at Nebraska and continues to provide a safe environment that fosters sisterhood. The sorority capital campaign and sorority fundraising efforts were crucial to the future generations of Gamma Phi Sisters. With this sorority engagement, they were able to:

Expand the study areas and dining rooms to accommodate more members and guests

Relocate, remodel and upgrade the study and computer lounge

Increase the capacity of house with expansion of the sleeping rooms

Replace old plumbing throughout the house while upgrading the mechanical and electrical systems

Expand and remodel the bathrooms on multiple levels

Add first safety stairwell off of the dining room as well as adding a similar escape on the second and third floors

Install air-conditioning in the original 1927 wing and redesign the addition to match the architectural style of the original plans
