Built in 1929, the dated chapter house of Delta Upsilon at the University of Kansas commanded a renovation that would provide modern educational space and equipment for today’s students while preserving and enhancing its solid construction and handsome architectural features. This fraternity capital campaign combined high fraternity engagement and fraternity fundraising to provide:

  • New large library and efficient study rooms

  • New computer room and group study room

  • Climate controlled sleeping dorms

  • Attractive and expanded foyer and a new reception area for phones and mail

  • Handicap accessible bathroom and a lift to all levels except third floor

  • Efficient kitchen in compliance with food service codes and expanded diningroom

  • New patio and expanded front terrace enhanced by new lighting, landscape,and irrigation

  • New thermal windows
